I am newly based in the Twin Cities, and am currently accepting private cello students into my studio.
I have taught students as young as age 3, and have taught students up to age 78 (and am willing to go further!). I am equally comfortable working with beginning, intermediate, and advanced students.
For me, the joy of teaching private cello lessons is in offering individualized education to each person. We all have strengths that can be harnessed and brought out by playing the cello. And we all have things we want to work on, which can be addressed through playing the cello. It is my privilege to empower and elevate each student I work with, and to help each student reach their goals.
I have been teaching cello since 2006. I completed Suzuki Book 1 teacher training with Tanya Carey in 2008, and earned a master’s degree in cello in 2009, and a performer’s certificate in 2011- both from DePaul University in Chicago. You can read my full biography here!
